Background:

At initio, Nick enjoys assisting start-ups across the Maritimes on their business, intellectual property, and privacy law matters. Nick holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Administration from Queen’s University. In 2023, he worked at McCarthy Tétrault’s Toronto office, rotating through the firm’s Technology, Communications & Intellectual Property group, and will be articling there upon completion of his degree.

After his first year of law school, Nick was as a Research Assistant at the Schulich School of Law where he assisted with the design and delivery of an upper-year cyber law and policy course. Previously, Nick also worked for Ontario's Treasury Board Secretariat, where he briefed senior officials and Cabinet members on several multimillion-dollar emergency funding requests. Throughout his undergraduate degree, Nick applied his academic interests in health across several summer research and policy positions at Ontario’s Ministry of Health, Toronto General Hospital, and the Rural Ontario Medical Program. Nick oversaw the entire peer review process of the Journal of Young Investigators, a global multidisciplinary journal, where he is now on their Board of Directors and mentors undergraduate research editors.

With a growing passion for finance and technology, Nick has completed the Canadian Securities Course and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional in Canada (CIPP/C). In addition to being fluent in Polish, Nick enjoys cooking, reading a range of non-fiction books (especially on topics like finance and technology), as well as playing and watching basketball and tennis.
