Background:

At initio, Hannah is excited to assist science and technology innovators with business law and intellectual property matters. As someone who grew up in Halifax, Hannah is passionate about advancing the local startup community across Atlantic Canada. Hannah holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Dalhousie University. In 2024, she worked at Goodmans LLP, completing both a litigation and business law rotation, and will be articling there upon completion of her degree.

Hannah has an established understanding of the distinct needs of startups through her current work as Legal Associate at Front Row Ventures, Canada’s first university-focused venture capital fund. Previously, Hannah worked in-house as Legal Intern for Irving Shipbuilding. She is excited to leverage the insight she gained working in-house to better understand and align legal considerations with the business objectives of startups.

Prior to law school, Hannah worked as a Research Assistant in both the healthcare and education sectors. This has equipped her with a versatile perspective and a diverse skill set, allowing her to address the unique challenges and opportunities that startups face across various industries. Outside of work and school, Hannah can be found running with her two dogs, laughing with friends and family, or exploring new local restaurants and cafés.
